Buckeye Powered Parachute Hand Controls

The hand controls for the Buckeye do not change the standard foot steering design of the aircraft.  The hand controls are attach to the foot steering bars.  This allows the pilot to push the hand steering bar which pushes the foot steering bar as if you were pushing it with your foot.  The steering characteristics of the Buckeye have not been altered.  The hand controls merely allow you another way to push the foot steering bars.  A Buckeye equipped with hand controls can be flown using either the hand controls or the foot steering bars.

Schmitmeyer Enterprises, Ltd. is the ONLY Powered Parachute dealer who's owner is paralyzed and has flying experience with hand controls.  We have the knowledge and understanding of many types of disabilities to be able to discuss and determine your requirements and abilities to fly with hand controls. We have a Dream Machine 582 equipped with hand controls and dual flight controls.  This allows you to fly from the front seat using the hand controls with an instructor in the back seat who can also fly the plane using the dual flight controls.  Give us a call and lets us introduce you to this exciting sport.
